IEP Advocacy
Expert BCBA Services
With our extensive background in behavior analysis and prior roles as special education teachers, we deeply understand and respect the dedication of school staff and teachers. Believing in the collective wisdom of educators and behavior analysts, we offer a range of ABA-based services to support school teams and parents facing challenges in serving children with diverse needs. Collaboration is key, and we provide tailored consulting services to meet the unique requirements of schools, teachers, staff, and students, ensuring effective behavior management within the constraints of available resources and time.
We are eager to engage in a multidisciplinary approach and open and ongoing communication with you in order to collaborate and potentially develop tailored strategies that address behavioral challenges.
IEP ADVOCACY
We believe that the collective wisdom of educators and behavior analysts can result in transformative changes in the lives of students and families.
We empower families and give a voice to students who receive or are looking to receive special education services. We also support, collaborate and consult with schools and their special education teams as a third party on providing the most effective, accurate and appropriate services for the students they serve.
We want to approach IEP advocacy as part of the team while prioritizing advocating for parents and students and working collaboratively with the school IEP teams.
We want to reach parents/families and schools to serve as an advocate for IEPs, 504s and other special education services. We work with parents and schools to ensure students are getting the support they need. Both of us are former special education teachers and have complete knowledge and expertise in IDEA, and special education rights, requirements and the realities that school districts face.
We Provide the following services:
- Advising parents and students on services programs and accommodations that meet their children’s needs
- Conduct thorough assessments and present results to school
- Work with the professionals at the school
- Preparing for and attending meetings for parents/caregivers by advocating, recommending, and suggesting strategies that compliment the current IEP goals and objectives
Building a team to help your student thrive.
We value a team approach which includes the families we serve. IEP advocacy services are also offered to families to allow for tailoring and individualizing our services to the specific needs of one student and family. IEP advocacy can consist of attending meetings, reviewing IEPs and related documents, supporting the family in addressing IEP goals in the home environment, completing assessments and sharing results for the purpose of collaboration, and more. Advocating for the priorities and needs of a family is important and we can be a tool in giving them that voice in order to meet the needs of their child.
